Victor Preciado immigrated to Pomona along with his parents at an early age. Victor is the eldest child of three and has two sisters. Victor inherited a dedicated, blue-collar work ethic from his father and mother. Victor started working in the supermarket industry at the age of 15. At the age of 19, he was diagnosed with cancer. After a successful battle beating cancer, Victor was inspired to live a life serving his community.

Through his involvement in the community, he has fostered partnerships to collaborate and create an inclusive community. Victor has worked with community-based organizations including:

  • Latino/a Roundtable
  • The dA Center for the Arts
  • DayOne
  • Pomona Valley Democrats
  • Pomona's Promise
  • Pomona Valley Runners
  • College for All Coalition
  • Pomona Leadership Network
  • Parent Teacher Association

Victor has also helped organize and coordinate events such as:

  • The Pomona 5K
  • Pomona Beautification Day
  • The Pomona Children's Festival
  • The Cesar Chavez Pilgrimage

As a Councilmember, Victor wants to help protect our natural resources. He has been appointed to serve on a number of boards including:

  • The Spadra Basin Water Master
  • Pomona Valley Protection Agency
  • Pomona Walnut Rowland JPA
  • Six Basins Water Master
  • The Chino Basin Water Master

Victor also serves on the board of Downtown Pomona Owners Association. He will focus on enriching the Downtown Arts Colony, creating a family oriented experience, and making Downtown Pomona a regional destination for everyone.

Victor was elected to serve as Councilmember for District 2 in November 2018. In his first term, he will concentrate on:

  • Community Engagement
  • Economic Development
  • Affordable Housing
  • Youth Mentorship

In addition to his responsibilities as a Councilmember, he plans to continue to volunteer in his community along with his fiancé Marisol Ramirez.
