What is a Cross Connection?

To ensure the safety of public or consumer's potable water system, it is crucial to prevent any connection or structural arrangement that may introduce used water, industrial fluid, gas, or any other substance into the potable system, apart from the intended potable water. Such connections, also known as cross connectors, can occur through temporary or permanent devices like bypass arrangements, jumper connections, removable sections, swivel or change-over devices, or any other such devices that can cause backflow. 

Backflow Prevention Assembly: An approved backflow prevention assembly is used to protect the potable water system from contamination.

Backflow hours are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, starting from 6:30 AM and concluding at 5:00 PM.
