Known Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of  https://www.pomonaca.gov/, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us at feedback@pomonaca.gov

Known limitations for https://www.pomonaca.gov/:

  1. PDFs: PDFs may not have working links, or accessible imagery/text because much of the content previously uploaded lacks accessibility checks. We monitor user feedback and typically resolve issues within 3-5 business days. Please email feedback@pomonaca.gov to access the files or information you may need.

  2. Images: Not all images may have curated alt tags (also known as alternative text), which are descriptive attributes added to HTML code providing a textual description of an image. This is because sufficient education on ADA compliance was not provided when implementing our website CMS internally. Our Information Technology team is currently reviewing images to ensure they have appropriate ALT tags and meet quality standards. Please email feedback@pomonaca.gov to access the ALT tags you may need.

  3. Captions for Videos: At this time, some videos may not be captioned due to issues with our captioning system. We are actively exploring alternative captioning options to ensure accessibility. If you require captions for specific videos, please reach out to us at feedback@pomonaca.gov.

  4. Headings: Empty headings have been detected in our content. We are actively working to rectify this issue. Please feel free to reach out to us at feedback@pomonaca.gov for further assistance.
