The City of Pomona has been working to update its original 1999 historic preservation design guidelines.  That effort has produced Preserving Pomona:  The Pomona Guide to Historic Preservation.  The guide, when completed will provide guidance on the architectural styles of Pomona, alterations to your historic building, the proper treatments to preserve your historic materials, and even how to make your building more energy efficient while keeping its character.  The standards and guidelines are what staff and the Historic Preservation Commission use to evaluate your project to determine if it is appropriate.

Preserving Pomona: The Pomona Guide to Historic Preservation

The City of Pomona is creating a guide that covers all aspects of historic preservation.  The guide will allow you to identify the architectural style of your building and determine what the important features are, provide objective standards for building alterations, the proper treatment to protect your historic materials, how to make your historic building more energy efficient, and incentives to help you preserve your historic building.
