National Night Out 2022

This was the first year that the PPD Dispatch center had our own booth at National Night out. It was so much fun to get out of the basement and mingle with our community in person.

Washington Elementary Safety Video

Our dispatcher Camille assisted students at Washington elementary school creating a safety video. The students were providing tips to their peers when dialing 9-1-1.

Retirement Announcement

About 25 years ago, Barbara Rodriguez started her professional dispatch career at Upland Police Department. In September 2000, Barbara lateraled to the Pomona Police Department as a Police Dispatcher. In 2010, Barbara promoted to Police Dispatch Supervisor. Barbara's public service to the Pomona Police Department and the City of Pomona made a positive impact and we thank you for all you have done.

Congratulations to our dispatchers who have recently passed their training!! Our dispatchers endure a rigorous amount of training for 12 months continuously. In order for them to "pass" and become a full-time Dispatcher, they must show that they are proficient and possess the knowledge and skills required to provide an excellent level of service to our community as well as our field personnel. Congratulations for a job well done!!
