Initiated in May 2010, the Integrated Water Supply Plan (IWSP) embarked upon by the City of Pomona aimed to forge a comprehensive strategy. This strategy sought to meet both immediate and future water demands with a focus on optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The backdrop against which this plan was conceived was characterized by a plethora of novel challenges that had arisen in the context of water resources, notably within the broader Southern California region.

Looking ahead, the IWSP stands as a foundational document guiding the City's water resources planning endeavors until 2035. Foreseeing a landscape of evolving resources and requirements over the forthcoming quarter-century, the plan has been meticulously crafted to facilitate adaptability. It rests as a flexible blueprint, poised for timely updates that incorporate responsive adaptive management strategies, thus ensuring its relevance amidst the fluctuations of time.

This significant milestone, the IWSP, emerged from a collaborative effort, where the expertise of the consultant team, led by RMC Water and Environment, seamlessly intertwined with the City's dedicated staff.
