The City of Pomona’s Planning Division is excited to announce the release of the updated Zoning Code. This is the first major update since 1949!

In 2021, the Planning Division set out to modernize and conduct a comprehensive revision of the Pomona Zoning Ordinance to align with our 2014 adopted General Plan. The updated Zoning Code is intended to provide a more efficient and flexible zoning system for Pomona that is responsive to the needs of our diverse neighborhoods. This Code is taking a new approach to zoning that is tailored to the City’s neighborhoods while preserving our unique historic resources.

The Planning Division will be conducting several community meetings to present the updated Zoning Code to the public. The meetings are grouped into different focuses including small businesses, residential expansions, commercial and industrial design, and uses. Residents are welcome to attend one or more meetings based on their interests.
