Pedley Spreading Ground (PSG) Enhancement Project

Post Date:10/05/2022

Funded by the Safe Clean Water Program, the Pedley Spreading Ground (PSG) Enhancement Project is a collaborative effort between the Cities of Pomona and Claremont to more effectively capture, treat, and store urban runoff in the area. The PSG is bounded by Chaparral Elementary School to the east, the California Botanic Gardens to the west, and a number of residences.

Upon its close, the PSG Enhancement Project will be able to boast significant improvements in the area’s water supply through captured runoff, improved water quality by decreasing pollutants, and substantial community engagement and investment.

For more information on the project feel free to reach out to the project team at PSGEnhancementProject@stantec.com.

The City of Pomona prepared an Initial Study for the PSG Enhancement Project. Based on the information in the Initial Study, the City of Pomona intends to adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Therefore, the City of Pomona is the CEQA Lead Agency for the project.
